Quick Answer

Start with the free prologue. It lasts about 30 minutes and introduces the tone, the Bateratze choice, Library investigation, concentration/analyze controls, and Aaron's short Amsterdam 2000 sequence.

The full Early Access game is scheduled for August 25, 2026, but this beginner page focuses on the prologue content players can already use for orientation.

Opening Flow

SegmentWhat You Do
Forest gatheringMove through the ritual space and light the braziers around the central tree.
Bateratze choiceChoose one of the nine cat companions by theme and preference.
LibrarySpeak with Professor Lucas, search Section VI, and analyze the correct book area.
Aaron flashbackFollow the linear hotel route, inspect relics, and reach the prologue ending.

Bateratze Choice

The prologue presents nine Bateratze options, each with a different flavor. Current prologue reports do not show a gameplay difference during the prologue itself, so choose the cat whose theme you like.

For a more focused answer, read the Cat Choice page.

Library Basics

The Library is the first place where many players slow down. The important clue is Section VI.

  1. Go upstairs and speak with Professor Lucas.
  2. Return downstairs near the fireplace area.
  3. Speak with the Professor again at the desk.
  4. Look left of the Professor's table for the shelf marked VI.
  5. Hold L2 to concentrate on the Roman numeral.
  6. Hold R2 to analyze and retrieve the relevant note/book clue.

Aaron Sequence

Aaron Long-Smith's flashback is linear. Follow the path toward the elevator and hotel room, then inspect visible relics before the cat transformation sequence.

New Player Tips

  • Use concentration mode whenever a room feels empty.
  • Read floating text instead of rushing past it.
  • Do not stress over the cat choice during the prologue.
  • Treat full Early Access routes and consequences as unverified until the live build is checked.
